Keep your saniderm bandage on for 2 - 3 days. The best way to remove it is to hop in the shower for several minutes, and peel it off by pulling one corner up and out in the opposite direction, instead of pulling down in the direction of the corner.

if we have not used saniderm for the tattoo, leave the bandage on for 1 day.

Once the bandage is off, once per day, wash your hands with antibacterial soap and use a clean paper towel and warm water to rinse off the top of the tattoo area lightly. There’s no need to apply very much pressure or use soap on the tattoo directly, just clean hands and a clean paper towel. Use another clean paper towel to dry off the area, and apply a small amount of whatever unscented moisturizer works best with your skin. I have no preference, but coconut oil, shea butter, unscented cerave or lubriderm are all great options. Repeat this process of lightly rinsing off the surface area of the tattoo and applying moisturizer once per day for two weeks.

Avoid swimming, hot tubs and baths as well as getting as little direct sunlight on the tattoo as possible for one month. After one month once the tattoo is fully healed and smooth to the touch, always apply sunscreen to the tattoo area before sun exposure.

Please always feel free to let me know if you have any questions, thoughts or concerns. Thank you so much!
